Lens flare has always been seen as a bad thing in
photography, but used in the right context it definitely adds to the shot. I this shot I was trying to capture the empty
red seats and tables, but no matter what I tried, I couldn’t prevent
flare. With a wide angle lens, as used
here, it is even more difficult to prevent than when using a standard or
telephoto lens. As it turned out, the
flare adds a unique element that
otherwise would have made the shot blander.
MISSION:
Snapshot Voyager is about my own personal photography journey. I am always looking to try something new, inquisitive as to how it works, and to the end results I might achieve.
