MISSION:

Snapshot Voyager is about my own personal photography journey. I am always looking to try something new, inquisitive as to how it works, and to the end results I might achieve.

Nex 5n - Touch Screen

If there is one that thing that can be a real pain on any NEX3 or5 its the ability to quickly access the menus.  The NEX 5n with has the touch screen and I am sure Sony has done this to increase usabilty, and it is somewhat successful.  It really only marginally increases the speed with which you can find the desired option, but it is very useful for viewing pictures, where it acts like an iPhone or a tablet in the way you zoom in or out.

Id much prefer dedicated buttons and dials than a touch screen, but it certainly is better.

New Deck chairs, old camera

This shot was taken on my Leica IIc on a camp in Muskoka.  I love the way it turned out, but I really wish I got rid of that stick first.  The white deck chairs contrast really well with the rest of the scene.

It was kind of funny, I went away on a camp with about 20 other men.  Everyone else brought their point and shoot digital cameras, and a few had D-SLRs.  I had a 1948 Leica.  That certainly raised a few eyebrows, and that made me smile!
